The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints held a donation ceremony on March 18, 2026, at the Tokyo Temple Annex to report on the results of the 2025 charity initiative “Giving Machines” and to present the funds collected through the project.

Representatives from the five participating organizations attended the ceremony:
- Second Harvest Japan (food assistance and meal distribution)
- Good Neighbors Japan (support for single-parent households and disaster recovery)
- Japan Association for Refugees (legal and livelihood support for refugees)
- Japan Association for UNHCR (emergency response and refugee protection)
- CARE International Japan (global poverty and hunger relief)
During the ceremony, Giving Machines Project Leader Edward Ray reported on the outcomes of the initiative, which ran for 32 days from November 24 to December 25, 2025. More than 8,250 people visited the Giving Machines during this period, and over 4,100 donated items were recorded. It was announced that total donations reached ¥11,159,500, all of which was formally presented to the five charity organizations.
The ceremony reaffirmed that the Giving Machines initiative is more than a fundraising effort. It brings people together across cultures, religions, and national boundaries and connects individual acts of generosity to tangible support for society. The 2,511 donations made through the 2025 Giving Machines will now be transformed by each organization into support items and delivered as meaningful assistance to those in need. The Church remains committed to continuing these efforts, valuing each act of kindness generated through the Giving Machines.
