As spring blossoms across the Republic of Korea, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are strengthening faith and building community through a variety of seasonal activities. Throughout April, service projects, public festivals and large gatherings brought together members and neighbors, creating meaningful opportunities to share fellowship, provide humanitarian support and celebrate the season.
On April 11, members of the Busan Stake partnered with Saedeulwon, a child welfare facility in Dongnae-gu, to carry out an environmental clean-up service project. Volunteers carefully cleared and organized the surrounding grounds, improving outdoor spaces so children could enjoy a cleaner, safer and more uplifting environment. The effort included Church members, local volunteer groups and community participants, working side by side in a spirit of unity and service. In addition to the cleanup, participants took part in hands-on horticultural activities, helping beautify the area while learning together.
Following the service, volunteers and children gathered to share a warm meal, including noodles prepared by a local service organization and fresh fruit. The atmosphere resembled a cheerful spring picnic, filled with laughter, gratitude and connection. For many participants, the shared meal was a meaningful reminder that simple acts of service can foster lasting relationships and bring joy to both those who serve and those who are served.

Earlier in the month, on April 4–5, the Sinpung Ward in Suwon hosted a two-day spring festival designed to engage the community and highlight the importance of family and faith. Held near the historic Hwaseong Fortress and surrounded by blooming cherry blossoms, the festival welcomed more than 1,000 visitors, many of whom were exploring the Church for the first time.
The event featured a wide variety of activities for individuals and families. Guests enjoyed outdoor photo areas, children’s attractions such as inflatable play zones and Easter egg decorating, and live performances. Inside the meetinghouse, visitors explored interactive booths that introduced family history through FamilySearch, participated in English conversation activities with missionaries, and learned more about the Church in an open and inviting environment.
Missionaries and members distributed informational materials and engaged in meaningful conversations with attendees. Many visitors toured the chapel, and dozens expressed interest in continued contact. The festival created a welcoming setting where community members could naturally build relationships and experience the Church.

On April 18, approximately 200 members from across the Changwon Stake gathered at the Samjin Sports Complex in Masan for a day of recreation, unity and fellowship. Despite rainfall the night before, clear skies allowed the activities to proceed in a comfortable outdoor setting.
Organizers formed mixed teams across congregations, encouraging participants to build new friendships. Activities included soccer, foot volleyball (jokgu), relay races, tug-of-war and traditional Korean games. Indoor spaces hosted additional events for children and families, ensuring broad participation.
A highlight of the gathering was the shared lunch, where members brought meals and enjoyed them together across congregational lines. The atmosphere remained positive and uplifting throughout the day, with participants focusing on encouragement and unity rather than competition.
